Whether you’re visiting with family, friends or flying solo, there’s so much to enjoy at Thrigby Hall. This guide will help you plan your visit — from opening times and what to bring, to where to eat and how to get the most from your day.
Sorry, no dogs allowed. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome.

Opening Times
We’re open every day from 10am, all year round.

Park closes: 5pm - Winter (Nov–March)*

*Opening hours are subject to change. British Summer Time (BST) and Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) dictate when we move from Winter to Spring/Summer opening hours.
The car park closes and gates are locked at 5:30pm.
Accessibility
We aim to make every visit inclusive and enjoyable.
- Most paths and walkways are wheelchair and pushchair-friendly
- Ramps into the café and shop
Changing Places toilets- Accessible wooden walkways to the Tiger and Gibbon platforms
- Disabled and Carers tickets (with proof of DLA or equivalent)

Get Close to the Animals
Follow our elevated wooden walkways across the lake, over the tiger enclosures, and into the treetops. Spot Snow Leopards, Red Pandas, Gibbons, Crocodiles, and more. Don’t miss the Tiger Machan and Viewing Platform — you’ll be inches away from some of our most magnificent residents.
Animal Talks & Feeds
Meet our knowledgeable Keepers, ask questions, and enjoy scheduled feedings:
- Leopards – 12:30pm
- Monkeys – 2:00pm
- Tigers – Varies (check on the day)
Feed times can change — check the board near the entrance.
Cockatoo Café
Serving jacket potatoes, sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes, snacks and drinks. We cater for all ages with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options — plus, ice cream!
Family Play Areas
Kids can blow off steam in our 3D Adventure Maze, Pyramid Slide, Tree Ropes, and toddler-friendly front lawn zone. It’s a perfect picnic spot too.
Gift Shop
Pop into the main building before you leave. You’ll find toys, books, souvenirs, and delicious local produce like jams and chutneys.
